This special joint exhibition at Split Rock Lighthouse highlights the stark beauty and quiet strength of Minnesota’s North Shore. Fragile Beauty, Rugged Land features dramatic landscapes, native wildlife, and night skies alive with stars and aurora—all revealing the delicate balance of life in this rugged northern environment. Winter’s Embrace offers a complementary view of the shoreline transformed by snow and ice, where icy cliffs, frozen shorelines, and winter sunrises create scenes of both stillness and power. Together, these exhibits celebrate the wild, resilient spirit of the North Shore.

All photography displayed at the exhibit is available for sale and can be purchased in the store and taken the day of the show.
